Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine

This book was really good, so I read it 3 times. This story is about a girl, Ella of Frell, who was given a gift by a fairy. The gift was obedience, so when ever somebody told her to do something, she had to do it or she would get very dizzy, and it was very hard to fight against it. Her mother dies, and her father marries Dame Olga, and Ella's stepsisters, Olive and Hattie move in with Ella and her father. her sisters are very mean to her and when her father has gone on a trip, Dame Olga and her daughters treat her as a maid. She is fed up and decides to go and look for the fairy that cast the spell at her, and wants to ask to take the spell away. During her journey she mets a prince, an evil king who plans to kill the prince using Ella, and an elf who wants to be a lawyer. Ella must fight against her gift. All the other books are also really good. Other books by this auther are:

Hi, I have not read the book before but I have watched the movie! I have heard that the book is always better then the movie so I am looking forward to reading it!

The book Ella Enchanted is based on Cinderella and so are a lot of other books. I have read the book only two times.

I agree with you! I do feel this is one of the best books I've read. I've wondered what would it be like if I had to do everything that someone asked me to do like Ella. I think that would be just awful!

You know Cupcake, I totally agree with you! I've read this book two times! And have watched the movie 8 times! They were both amazing. I was sooo speechless when I finished.

Wow i am really interested in that book. It sorta scares me a bit. I like how you wrote it in a mysterious way. It reminds me of Cinderella. I love this book!

This book is great and I have read it once,
but I am going to remember it for my whole life.
I read the 'two princesses of Bamarre' and it was really great!

This book is really as awesome as the time I first tasted chocolate. I loved the chocalate and the book too! The really great things about these books is they just grab you into it. They tell it as if your the person in the story. I wouldn't want to be Ella in the obedience part but the rest of it, yeah...

the idea of ella doing everything people ask is really interesting. that's not a gift, that's a curse! if your enemies came they would just say, eat all the cupcakes in the world and get you to stuff yourself to death! no wonder she has to fight! i wouldn't want that!

I watched the movie three times and I read the book two times. Ella Enchanted is really good.
